The Trust for Public Land (TPL) and Central Arizona Land Trust (CALT) regretfully announce that, in the absence of substantial state funding, they will not be able to match the $1.75 million in federal funding they received within the time frame required by the U.S. Department of Agriculture.  As such, TPL's national and local leadership, staff and Arizona Advisory Board have decided that the effort to preserve Young's Farm is beyond the scope of their Arizona program.  The Young Family, TPL, and CALT truly appreciate the interest and support received throughout this campaign as we strived to preserve this land as a farm for future generations.  The public's enthusiasm for the effort was overwhelming and we leave the project very reluctantly. As TPL will be unable to use private contributions for their intended purpose, donors to the Young's Farm campaign will soon receive a letter regarding their contribution.
