August 2006 - The rest of 2006 is Family Fun at Young’s Farm
In this issue Have you stocked your freezer with Young’s Farm sweet corn this year? If not, you may want to plan a family trip to Young’s Farm and bring your coolers so you can store a winter supply of the sweetest tasting corn in Arizona. Perhaps one of the two remaining Corn Feed Dinners would be a great chance to get the kids out, eat some good BBQ, go on a hayride and take home some sweet corn. Also – you need to be discussing your family trip during October for the final event of Young’s Farm – the 20th annual Pumpkin Festival. Every weekend in October you will have an opportunity to experience one of the best fall events in Arizona. Pick your own pumpkin; enjoy hayrides, pumpkin painting, kids rides and games, great food, fresh apple cider and country style crafts with your family. You can visit our website for more information. And of course, you can’t have a holiday without a fresh Young’s Farm turkey on the dinner table. Order yours today! We look forward to seeing you as much as possible during the rest of 2006. Two more chances for the ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT Corn feed dinners! It has become tradition. Stuffing your mouth full of Young’s Farm BBQ chicken, ribs, beans, coleslaw, cobbler and of course - all of the fresh sweet corn you can eat in a four hour period. The all-you-can-eat corn feed dinners are scheduled for every Friday night in August (18th and 25th) from 4pm until 8pm. We will have live music, corn husking contests, hayrides with Farmer Buzz, lots of yummy food and it is all for a good cause. Enjoy the company of local 4-H and FFA kids as they help us serve you and raise money for their agricultural programs. They will be auctioning off homemade desserts (you thought our cobbler was good...) to help fund their yearlong activities program and these kids would appreciate your support. So make plans to bring the family down to Young’s Farm every Friday night in August for a corn eating good time!
